STAFF PROFILES
Peter & Sue Healey:
Peter and Sue are the company owners and between them have over 50 years experience in the kitchen industry.

Peter is a qualified joiner, he completed his apprenticeship with Manawatu Joinery in 1977. His involvement within the industry extends to him serving as a past president of the NKBA. As well as his input into the manufacturing side of the company he also has experience in design, overseeing the design team and he also keeps his hand in installing, he installs kitchens in Taupo.

Sue is also a very experienced part time Kitchen Designer. Sue completed her training in kitchen design in 1988 and has attended many training seminars in the years since to ensure she keeps up to date with changing trends and new products. Sue has won a NKBA central north island regional design award.

Louise Healey:
Louise is Peter and Sue’s eldest daughter and is the Administration Manager at Kitchens By Healey. She is a qualified Vet Nurse and after 5 years working as a nurse she moved into an acting practice managers position which gave her the skills to step into her current role at Kitchens By Healey. Along with her administrative responsibilities Louise also prices kitchens for freelance designers from outside of the Manawatu.

DESIGNERS
Jan Lutze:
Jan has been working with Kitchens By Healey since March 2005, initially in a receptionist position and now as a designer. Jan recently passed the National Certificate in Kitchen Design – Level 3 which is a NZQA approved course run through the NKBA in conjunction with the Joinery Industry Training Organisation. With the skills Jan learnt she is able to create functional designs to suit her client’s specific needs and she believes this is important, rather than making her clients fit into a kitchen. As well as working with her own clients, Jan is responsible for liaising with clients for some of the group building companies and overseeing their designs through to manufacturing.

Robert Gale:
Rob is an award winning kitchen designer with a passion for effective working areas and excellent design. Originally from the textile industry where he was involved with sales of specialist fabrics and colourways, he retrained in interior design in the United Kingdom, focusing on kitchens, laundries and bathrooms. Returning to New Zealand a decade ago Rob has continued to establish himself as a kitchen designer, and has been actively involved with the NKBA. His skills in interior design come to the fore when planning colourways for the kitchens. Rob is currently studying towards sitting his CKD (Certified Kitchen Designer) exam. He has been part of the design team at Kitchens By Healey since February 2006.

Simon Tansley:
Simon joined the design team at Kitchens By Healey in September 2007. He started his career in the joinery industry working in sales for office furniture. This involved contact with clients both in store and out on site. He then worked on the factory floor and as a member of the sales team at Hansen Interiors. Simon then took up a position as a kitchen consultant at Mitre 10 Mega and then on to his current position with Kitchens By Healey. Simon has an energetic personality which enables him to build good rapport with his clients.

Virginia Longmire:
Virginia joined Kitchens By Healey in September 2010 as Receptionist/Showroom Hostess. Prior to working at Kitchens By Healey, Virginia worked at Ryman Healthcare Palmerston North as their Administrator/Receptionist. She has lived and worked in various countries in the world and has always strived to give of her best when relating to people. With her bubbly personality and wonderful people skills, Virginia makes visitors to the showroom feel very welcome and has become an asset to the team.

Doug Chaplin:
Doug joined Kitchens by Healey in 2010 as a Detailer. He comes with a broad experience in engineering design, draughting and manufacturing. Doug works with the kitchen designers to create working drawings for the manufacturing staff. He has an excellent eye for detail and plays a vital role in ensuring the clients dream kitchen meets their expectations.
